Most sales teams start with point-based scoring in their CRM, like HubSpot. A lead gets 5 points for a demo request and 2 for an email open. This ignores context: a demo request from a student has the same score as one from a Fortune 500 decision-maker. The system is static and cannot learn from your actual win-loss history.
A 15-person software company tried to build this with Zapier. Their workflow triggered on a new HubSpot contact, checked Clearbit for enrichment, waited 10 minutes, then posted a Slack message.
